Find your saved Wi-Fi passwords on iPhone or iPad

In iOS 16, iPadOS 16.1 and later, you can use your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID to see and copy Wi-Fi passwords.

Find the password of your currently connected network

  1. In the Settings app, tap Wi-Fi.

  2. Find the Wi-Fi you’re currently using.

  3. Tap the InfoInfo button.

  4. Tap the Password field.

    On iOS, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and you can reveal the password of the Wi-Fi network you have connected to.

  5. Use your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID to unlock and reveal the password.

Find passwords of previously connected networks

  1. In the Settings app, tap Wi-Fi.

  2. Tap Edit in the top right-hand corner.

    In iOS, to find passwords to Wi-Fi networks you’ve previously connected to, go to Settings > Wi-Fi > Edit, then tap the Info button next to a network.

  3. Use your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID to unlock and reveal networks your device previously joined.

  4. Tap the Info button next to a network with a lock iconnull.

  5. Tap the Password field to reveal it.

In iOS 18, you can also use the Passwords app to find, copy and share Wi-Fi passwords for networks you’ve previously joined:

  1. Use your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID to open Passwords.

  2. Tap Wi-Fi.

    In iOS 18, you can open the Passwords app to find information on Wi-Fi networks you’ve previously connected to.

  3. Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to find the password for.

  4. Tap the Password field to reveal the password.
