Fix Error -45054 or Error -42110 in iTunes for Windows
These errors occur in iTunes for Windows when your system restricts certain files or folders. This restriction prevents iTunes from downloading your purchases and triggers an "unknown error" alert.
If your system restricts files or folders, iTunes for Windows might not download your purchases. You might see one of the following alerts:
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error has occurred (-45054)."
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error has occurred (-42110)."
Delete the adi folder and the SC Info folder
Quit iTunes.
Press the Windows key.
If your keyboard doesn't have a Windows key, press Control (Ctrl) + Escape (Esc).
Click the magnifying icon or search field.
In the search box, type
%ProgramData%, then press Return.Show any hidden files:
Windows 10: Click View, then select "Hidden items."
Windows 8: Click View, then click Options. On the View tab, select "Show hidden files, folders, and drives."
Windows 7: Click Organize, then "Folder and search options." On the View tab, select "Show hidden files, folders, and drives."
Open the Apple Computer folder, then the iTunes folder.
Right-click the adi folder and the SC Info folder and choose Delete from the menu.
Restart your computer.
Open iTunes and try to make a purchase.
