MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2023) Fans

Before You Begin

Remove the following parts before you begin:

Tools

  • Adjustable torque driver (10–34 Ncm)

  • Torque driver (blue, 0.65 kgf cm)

  • Torx Plus 3IP 44 mm half-moon bit

  • Torx T5 bit

Removal

  1. Use the 10–34 Ncm adjustable torque driver and Torx T5 bit to remove the two T5 screws (923-06929) (1) from the fans.

  2. Use the blue torque driver and 3IP bit to remove the six 3IP screws (923-06935) (2) from the fans.

  3. Remove the fans from the top case.

Reassembly

  1. Position the fans in the top case.

  2. Keep the Torx T5 bit in the 10–34 Ncm adjustable torque driver. Set the torque value to 16 Ncm.

  3. Use the adjustable torque driver and Torx T5 bit to reinstall the two T5 screws (923-06929) (1) into the fans.

  4. Use the blue torque driver and 3IP bit to reinstall the six 3IP screws (923-06935) (2) into the fans.

Reinstall the following parts to complete reassembly:
