If you can't view a home
If you can't view a home that you set up or were invited to share in the Home app, here's what to do.
Update Apple Home
Update any homes that you set up to the latest version of Apple Home.* If you didn’t set up a home, ask the owner of the shared home to update. If the home owner can't update or chooses not to, you can leave a shared home that you no longer need access to.
Open the Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Tap or click the

. If you own multiple homes, choose one, then select Home Settings.Select Software Update.
Tap or click Update Now, then follow the prompts to update. All of the homes that you own are updated at the same time.
"This home and all accessories are up to date" appears on the Software Update screen after you update.
* iPad is not supported as a home hub on the latest version of Apple Home.
If homes are already updated
Update your iPhone or iPad to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, or your Mac with the latest version of macOS. Any device that is connected to an updated home and not running iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, macOS 13.1, tvOS 16.2, or watchOS 9.2 or later will lose access to an updated home until the device is updated.
Go to Settings (System Settings on Mac) > [your name] > iCloud, and turn on iCloud Passwords and Keychain.
Go to Settings (System Settings on Mac) > [your name] > Password & Security, and turn on two-factor authentication for Apple Account.
Tap or click the
to check if you have more than one home. If a home doesn't have accessories, remove it from the Home app. Tap or click the , select , then scroll down and select Remove Home.
If you still can't access a home, contact Apple Support.
