Intro to text boxes, images, and other objects in Pages for iCloud
An object is any item you place on a page. In Pages for iCloud, tables, charts, text boxes, shapes, images, video, and audio are all objects. To add objects to your document, click an object button in the toolbar.
After you add an object, you can move it anywhere on the page, add content to it, and change its appearance using the controls in the Format sidebar on the right.
You can layer objects, resize them, and control how text flows around them on the page. For example, you can have text wrap around an object, or place an object inline, so that it sits on the same line as the text and moves with the text as you type. Some objects can also be nested inline with the text inside a text box or shape.
Note: You can also add a 3D object to your document using Pages for Mac, Pages for iPhone, or Pages for iPad, but if you open the document in Pages for iCloud, the 3D object will look like a 2D object. See Add 3D objects in Pages for Mac, Add 3D objects in Pages for iPhone, or Add 3D objects in Pages for iPad.
