Personalize your iPad
From setting a favorite photo as your wallpaper to adding useful widgets on your Home Screen, creating a Memoji, and setting a Dark Mode schedule—there are so many ways to make your iPad your own.

Change the wallpaper
Set the background of your Home Screen and Lock Screen to display a favorite photo from your photo library. Go to Settings > Wallpaper, then tap Choose a New Wallpaper. Tap an album, then select an image for your wallpaper. You can drag the image to move it around, or pinch to zoom in or out. When you’ve got the image looking just right, tap Set.

Customize your Home Screen
Keep Today View open on the Home Screen, then add widgets to see information from your favorite apps at a glance. With iPad in landscape orientation, touch and hold the Home Screen background until the apps begin to jiggle. Turn on Keep on Home Screen, then tap to open the widget gallery. When you find a widget you want to add, tap it, then choose the size that’s right for you. Or, try a Smart Stack—a collection that shows the right widget at the right time in your day based on factors like your location, an activity, or the time.

Build your own Memoji
Create a Memoji that reflects your personality and style. You can use your Memoji as your contact image in apps, as stickers in Messages and in Mail, and as an animated Memoji that mirrors your facial expressions in FaceTime (on supported models). To get started, open the Messages app, then tap .

Schedule Dark Mode
Dark Mode gives the iPad screen, controls, and menus a darker appearance that’s perfect for low-light environments. You can schedule Dark Mode to turn on automatically at sunset or at a specific time that’s good for you. Go to Settings > Display & Brightness, tap Automatic, then tap Options.
