Locate Beats in Find My on Apple devices
You can use Find My on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch to see your Beats last connected location on a map. You can also find your Beats on the web at iCloud.com/find. Some Beats models have additional features.
You can use Find My with supported Beats headphones, earphones, and speakers.
You must pair your Beats with an iPhone or iPad where you’re signed in to your Apple Account to see your Beats in Find My on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, or Mac.
To locate your Beats, you must turn on Find My on a paired device (such as your iPhone or Mac) before they’re lost. See Set up Find My on all your devices in the iCloud User Guide.
For the best experience with Find My, make sure your paired device has the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, or macOS installed.
See the location of your Beats on a map or find them nearby
You can see the current or last known location of your Beats in the Find My app. If your Beats 360 are somewhere close by, like in another room in your house, you can also use your iPhone or iPad to help guide you to them.
iPhone or iPad: Go to the Find My app
, tap Devices, then tap your Beats. To find your Beats 360 nearby, tap Find, then follow the onscreen instructions. As you move, your iPhone or iPad tells you whether you’re getting closer.
Apple Watch: Go to the Find Devices app
, then tap your Beats (requires a Wi-Fi or cellular connection).
Mac: Go to the Find My app
iCloud.com: Go to iCloud.com/find, sign in to your Apple Account, select Find My, then select your Beats in All Devices.
When your Beats earbuds are separated, you can see the location of only one earbud at a time. To find them both, first locate the one that you see on the map, put it back in its case, then refresh the map to locate the other one.
Play a sound on your Beats
You can play a sound on your Beats to help you locate them. Beats earbuds must be out of their charging case to play a sound. Because Beats 360 support the Find My network, you can play a sound even when they aren’t connected to your device.
iPhone or iPad: Go to the Find My app
Apple Watch: Go to the Find Devices app
, choose your Beats, then tap Play Sound (requires a Wi-Fi or cellular connection). For Beats earphones, tap Left or Right to play a sound on either earbud.
Mac: Go to the Find My app
iCloud.com: Go to iCloud.com/find, sign in to your Apple Account, select Find My, select your Beats in All Devices, then select Play Sound.
Your Beats play a sound for a few minutes (or until you stop it) to help you locate them. If your Beats aren’t connected to your device and you don’t have the Find My network turned on, the sound plays the next time they connect to a Wi-Fi or cellular network.
Turn on the Find My Network for Beats 360
When the Find My network is on, you can see the location of your Beats 360 in the Find My app for up to 48 hours after they’re turned off, even if they’re not nearby.
To locate your Beats 360 when they’re offline, you need to turn on the Find My network before they’re lost.
Turn on your Beats 360, and make sure they’re connected to your iPhone or iPad.
Go to Settings
on iPhone or iPad, then tap the name of your Beats near the top of the screen.
Tap Find My, then turn on Find My Network.
If your Beats 360 is used with multiple Apple Accounts—for example, if you lend or share them—only the person who turned on the Find My network can see them in the Find My app. You may also get an alert if someone else’s Beats 360 is traveling with you.
Turn on separation alerts for Beats 360
When the Find My network is turned on, you can set alerts to warn you if you’ve left your Beats 360 behind. You can set trusted locations, like your home, and get notifications on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch when you leave them anywhere else. See Turn on the Find My Network for Beats 360, above.
Important: To receive separation alerts, make sure you allow notifications for the Find My app.
Do one of the following:
iPhone or iPad: Go to the Find My app
, tap Devices, select your Beats 360, tap
, tap When Left Behind, then turn on Notify When Left Behind.
Mac: Go to the Find My app
Mark your Beats 360 as lost
If you misplace your Beats 360, you can mark the headphones as lost and create a message that provides your contact information.
iPhone or iPad: Go to the Find My app
Mac: Go to the Find My app
When Lost Accessory is on, you can turn on Show Contact Info so that anyone who finds your Beats 360 can see how to reach you.
