Use the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit

You can use the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit to charge your Apple products when you travel to different countries or regions.

Before you begin

  • The adapters in this kit should only be used with genuine Apple power adapters. Apple power adapters support a universal voltage range of 100-240V AC and a frequency range of 50-60Hz.

  • The adapters in this kit change the physical pin or blade shape of your power adapter. They do not convert electrical voltage or frequency.

  • Plugs and power outlets vary by country and region. Plug designs follow a national or regional standard, and they are usually grouped by type, such as Type A or Type G. Always check the outlet design and electrical standards for your destination before traveling.

Use the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit

Depending on where you travel, you might need a specific adapter to connect your Apple device to a power outlet. The Apple World Travel Adapter Kit works with Apple power adapters that have a removable AC plug (also known as a duckhead).

The Apple World Travel Adapter Kit uses an AC Connector 2 connection point. Apple AC plugs and travel adapters aren't cross-compatible between AC connector types, so make sure that your Apple World Travel Adapter Kit uses the right AC connector for your power adapter.

To charge your device with an adapter from the kit:

  1. Make sure your power adapter is completely unplugged from the wall outlet and disconnected from your Apple device.

  2. Detach the AC plug by sliding it up and away from the power adapter. Don’t twist the AC plug or pull it at an angle.

  3. To attach your international adapter, align it with the track on your Apple power adapter and slide it securely into place.

  4. Plug the assembled power adapter into the wall outlet, then connect your power adapter to your Apple device.
