iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021, Four ports) Low-Speed Flex Cable
Before You Begin
Remove the following parts before you begin:
Tools
- Nylon probe (black stick) 
- Support wedges 
- Torx T3 screwdriver 

Removal
Caution
If the logic board service part packaging isn’t available, perform the following steps on an ESD-safe surface. Don’t bend the logic board when removing or reinstalling the low-speed flex cable.
- Ensure that the logic board is positioned in the logic board service part packaging tray as shown.  
- Use the T3 screwdriver to remove the three T3 screws (923-05561) from the low-speed flex cable to logic board connector cowling. 
- Remove the low-speed flex cable to logic board connector cowling. Save it for reassembly.  
- Use the flat end of the black stick to lift both ends of the low-speed flex cable off the connectors on the logic board.  
Reassembly
- Gently press the ends of the low-speed flex cable to the connectors on the logic board. - Note: Don’t bend the connectors. 
  
- Reinstall the low-speed flex cable cowling. 
- Use the T3 screwdriver to reinstall the three T3 screws (923-05561) into the low-speed flex cable cowling. - Important: If you install a replacement low-speed flex cable, leave the adhesive release liners in place until you reinstall the logic board and low-speed flex cable. 
  
Reinstall the following parts to complete reassembly:
