Send your Apple TV to Apple for service
After you contact Apple for service, you'll receive a kit with everything that you need to send your Apple TV to Apple.
Before you send in your Apple TV for service
Erase your Apple TV to restore it to factory settings and remove your personal information:
On your Apple TV, go to Settings > System (or General) > Reset.
Tap Reset (or Reset All Settings).
Make sure you keep your Apple TV plugged into power until the reset process finishes.
Pack your Apple TV
When you pack your Apple TV, don’t include anything else in the box – such as cables or other accessories. If you do, they won’t be returned to you.
Put your device in the white fibre bag, then open the cardboard insert and place the bagged device in the base of the box under the insert. Don't place device in the box without opening the insert.
Close the insert, making sure the two locking tabs on the insert are secured to the box.
Close the box. Make sure the battery sticker is pasted flat on the box and isn’t covered by tape or a postage label.
Send your Apple TV to Apple
The courier will bring a box to collect your Apple TV. Include only your Apple TV. Don’t include anything else in the box – such as cables or other accessories. If you do, they won’t be returned to you. When the courier arrives, take the provided Return Airway Bill (AWB) label and paste it on the box they provide.
The courier will wait for up to 10 minutes for you to prepare and pack your product.
If the courier leaves before you pack your product, arrange for another courier to collect your device: Call GD Express Malaysia Customer Service on 03-64195003 (Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) They’ll ask for the number from the Return AWB number provided by the previous courier.
Make sure you get proof of collection from the courier to confirm that you've sent your Apple TV for service.
