Listen to songs, view lyrics, and watch music videos
In addition to quickly identifying songs, the Shazam app lets you listen to your songs, view time-synced lyrics, and watch Apple Music previews and YouTube music videos.
Note: To listen to the full songs in the Shazam app and to watch videos on Apple Music, you must be an Apple Music subscriber. See the Apple Support article Join Apple Music.
Listen to your identified songs
Open the Shazam app , then do one of the following:
On iPhone or iPad: Tap My Music at the bottom of the screen.
On Android: Tap (or swipe to the Library).
Do any of the following:
Play your recent songs: Tap on a song in Recent Shazams (or tap the cover art or song name, then tap in the track screen).
Play your previously identified songs: Tap Shazams (or Artists on Android), then tap Play All, or tap on a song.
Tap to show Now Playing; tap hide Now Playing.
On iPhone or iPad, tap or to show or hide the upcoming songs.
Note: When the Shazam app is connected to Spotify, you can only listen to song previews. If the app is disconnected from Spotify and you’re still unable to play full songs on iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Media & Apple Music, then turn on Shazam.
View your identified songs
In the Shazam app , do one of the following:
On iPhone or iPad: Tap My Music at the bottom of the screen.
On Android: Tap (or swipe to the Library).
Tap Shazams, then scroll the list of songs.
If you have a large number of songs, drag the control that appears on the right side of the screen to quickly move through your list. As you scroll, songs are displayed by date.
Search your identified songs on iPhone and iPad
In the Shazam app , tap My Music at the bottom of the screen, then tap Shazams.
Swipe down below the Play All button to display the search field, then enter a song or artist name in the field.
View lyrics for your identified songs
You can follow along with time-synced lyrics on a freshly identified song, or view lyrics for any previously identified song.
Note: Lyrics are not available for all songs.
In the Shazam app on iPhone, iPad, or Android, do one of the following:
View time-synced lyrics for a new song: Immediately after you identify a song, tap .
To hide lyrics, tap .
Note: Time-synced lyrics are available only with a current song.
View lyrics for a previous song: Tap a song, then tap .
Watch music videos from Apple Music and YouTube
In the Shazam app , do one of the following:
On iPhone or iPad: Tap My Music at the bottom of the screen.
On Android: Tap (or swipe to the Library).
Do any of the following:
Watch a video on Apple Music: Tap an identified song’s cover art or name, tap the preview video (if available) in the track screen, tap Music Video, then tap Watch on Apple Music. When the video opens in the Music app , tap the Play button.
Note: Music videos aren’t available for all songs. If you don’t see a video preview, make sure Autoplay Videos is turned on in Shazam app settings .
Watch a YouTube video: Tap a song’s cover art or song name, scroll down in the track screen to the video category, then tap the YouTube play button.
View song details
In the Shazam app , do one of the following:
On iPhone or iPad: Tap My Music at the bottom of the screen.
On Android: Tap (or swipe to the Library).
Tap a song’s cover art or song name, then scroll to view the album title, label, release date, and more.
