Change Beats microphone settings
On supported Beats, you can set the number of button presses to mute/unmute your microphone during a phone call.
Change microphone settings on iPhone or iPad
- Wear your Beats (or turn on your Beats Pill speaker) and make sure they’re connected to your iPhone or iPad. 
- Go to Settings  on iPhone or iPad, then tap the name of your Beats near the top of the screen. on iPhone or iPad, then tap the name of your Beats near the top of the screen.
- Tap Mute & Unmute, then tap an action: - Press Once: Mutes or unmutes the microphone when you press  , the button above the , the button above the logo on Beats Solo Buds or Beats Studio Buds +, or the center button on Beats Pill. logo on Beats Solo Buds or Beats Studio Buds +, or the center button on Beats Pill.
- Press Twice: Mutes or unmutes the microphone when you double-press  , the button above the , the button above the logo on Beats Solo Buds or Beats Studio Buds +, or the center button on Beats Pill. logo on Beats Solo Buds or Beats Studio Buds +, or the center button on Beats Pill.
 
- Tap Back  , tap Microphone, then select an option: , tap Microphone, then select an option:- Automatically Switch: Automatically changes the microphone between the left and right earbuds when you remove an earbud. 
- Always Left Earbud: Assigns the microphone to the left earbud. 
- Always Right Earbud: Assigns the microphone to the right earbud. 
 
Change microphone settings on Mac
- Wear your Beats (or turn on your Beats Pill speaker) and make sure they’re connected to your Mac. 
- On your Mac, choose Apple menu  
- Click the Mute & Unmute pop-up menu, then choose an action: - Press Once: Mutes or unmutes the microphone when you press  , the button above the , the button above the logo on Beats Solo Buds or Beats Studio Buds +, or the center button on Beats Pill. logo on Beats Solo Buds or Beats Studio Buds +, or the center button on Beats Pill.

- Click the Microphone pop-up menu, then choose an option: - Automatically Switch: Automatically changes the microphone between the left and right earbuds when you remove an earbud. 
- Always Left: Assigns the microphone to the left earbud. 
- Always Right: Assigns the microphone to the right earbud. 
 
Change microphone settings on an Android device
- Wear your Beats (or turn on your Beats Pill speaker) and make sure they’re connected to your Android device. 
- Go to the Beats app   
- Scroll down, tap Mute & Unmute, then tap an action: - Press Once: Mutes or unmutes the microphone when you press  , the button above the , the button above the logo on Beats Solo Buds or Beats Studio Buds +, or the center button on Beats Pill. logo on Beats Solo Buds or Beats Studio Buds +, or the center button on Beats Pill.
