How to create a playlist in the Apple Music app
Learn how to create a new playlist and add music to an existing playlist in the Apple Music app.
How to create a new playlist on your iPhone, iPad, or Android
Open the Apple Music app.
On your iPhone or Android, open the Library tab, tap , then tap Create New Playlist.

On your iPad, scroll to the bottom of the sidebar and tap New Playlist.
Give your playlist a name, then tap Add Songs.
Tap the music that you want to add.
Tap .
How to create a playlist with Playlist Playground* on your iPhone, iPad, or Android
If you subscribe to Apple Music and have Sync Library turned on, you can create AI playlists to fit any mood.
Make sure your device is connected to the internet.
Open the Apple Music app
On your iPhone or Android, open the Library tab, tap , then tap Create New Playlist.

On your iPad, scroll to the bottom of the sidebar and tap New Playlist.
Tap the search field, then enter a mood, genre, activity, or era that you want to create a playlist for. Playlist Playground will create a playlist based on your query.
Tap the title to change the name of your playlist. You can also hold and drag to rearrange the songs.
Tap the search field to customize the playlist even more, or add suggested songs with .
Tap to save the playlist.
How to add music to an existing playlist on your iPhone, iPad, or Android
Open the Apple Music app.
Find music that you want to add.
Tap next to a song or at the top of an album.
Tap Add to Playlist.

How to create and add music to a playlist on your Mac or PC
Open the Apple Music app or iTunes.
In the Apple Music app on your Mac, go to the menu bar and choose File, then New, then Playlist.
In the Apple Music app for Windows, go to Playlists in the sidebar, click , then click New Playlist.
Give your playlist a name.
Drag and drop music to a playlist in the sidebar.
