See lyrics and sing in Apple Music on your Apple TV

If you subscribe to Apple Music, you can follow along as you listen with perfectly timed lyrics, translations, and pronunciations that appear word-by-word. You can also adjust the vocals so you can sing along.

How to see lyrics on your Apple TV

1. Open the Apple Music app.

2. Play a song from the Apple Music catalog.

3. To show or hide time-synced lyrics, select Lyrics at the bottom of the screen.

   Don't see the Lyrics button?

View lyric translation or pronunciation on your Apple TV

1. Open lyrics in the Apple Music app.

2. Select the Translation and Pronunciation button, then select:

   • Show Translation to show the translated lyrics.

   • Show Pronunciation to show phonetic pronunciation of the lyrics.

   • Hide Original to hide the lyrics in their original language.

You will see different options for pronunciation in Large Text settings. To choose how you want your lyrics to appear, go to Settings > Apps > Music. Select Larger Text, then select Lyrics if you want the original script to be larger, or Pronunciation if you want the pronunciation to be larger.

Translations use the Preferred Languages on your Apple TV. To change your Preferred Language, go to Settings > General > Apple TV Languages. Translations and pronunciations might not be available in all languages or regions.

If you don't see lyrics on your Apple TV

If you don't see the Lyrics button, time-synced lyrics aren't available for that song.

If time-synced lyrics aren’t available, you might be able to see the full lyrics.

1. Play a song from the Apple Music catalog.

2. At the bottom of your screen, select More.

3. Select View Full Lyrics.

How to use Apple Music Sing on your Apple TV 4K (3rd generation)

1. Open the Apple Music app.

2. Play a song from the Apple Music catalog.

3. If you don't see time-synced lyrics automatically, select Lyrics at the bottom of the screen.

4. On your Apple TV Remote, press the Back button, then select the Mic. Don’t see the Mic button?

5. To adjust the vocals, swipe the clickpad on your Apple TV Remote up or down.

If you don't see the Mic button

• To use Apple Music Sing, you need an Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) updated to the latest version of tvOS.

  Not sure which Apple TV you have?

• If you have an Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) with the latest version of tvOS and don't see the Mic button, Apple Music Sing might not be available for that song.
