iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021, Two ports) USB-C Board
Before You Begin
Remove the following parts before you begin:
Tools
- Nylon probe (black stick) 
- Support wedges 
- Torx T3 screwdriver 

Removal
- Peel the polyester film tape from the USB-C board. Save it for reassembly.  
- Use the T3 screwdriver to remove the two T3 screws (923-05555) from the USB-C board.  
- Use the T3 screwdriver to remove two T3 screws (923-05562) from the USB-C board connector cowling. 
- Remove the USB-C board connector cowling and save it for reassembly.  
- Use the black stick to lift the end of the USB-C board flex cable off the connector. Then remove the USB-C board from the housing.  
Reassembly
- Position the USB-C board in the housing. 
- Use the flat end of the black stick to gently press the end of the USB-C board flex cable to the connector. 
- Position the USB-C board connector cowling over the end of the USB-C board flex cable. Then use the T3 screwdriver to reinstall the two T3 screws (923-05562) into the logic board.  
- Align the screw holes in the USB-C board with the pins on the rear housing. Then use the T3 screwdriver to reinstall the two T3 screws (923-05555) into the USB-C board.  
- Reinstall the polyester film tape over the USB-C board. - Note: If you’re installing a replacement part, use the included replacement polyester film tape instead of the existing polyester film tape. 
  
Reinstall the following parts to complete reassembly:
