Change your Account Settings in Music on Mac

When you have an Apple Account, you can sign in to the Music Account Settings to view or change your account information, show your purchase history, and more.

Open Music for me

Change your account information

Go to the Music app on your Mac.
Sign in to your Apple Account if you’re not already signed in.
Choose Account > Account Settings.
Make your changes (details below), then click Done.
Your changes take effect immediately, and apply to all apps in which you use your Apple Account.

Browse through the options below to customize your settings.

Apple Account Summary

Purchase History

Account Access

Option			Do the following
Apple Music			Click Manage on the right, follow the onscreen instructions, then click Done.

Settings

Option			Do the following
Nickname			Click Create Nickname or Edit Nickname on the right, follow the onscreen instructions, then click Submit.
Alert Me			Click Manage on the right, select the options you want (or deselect the ones you don’t), then click Save Changes.
Personalized Recommendations			Click Manage on the right, select to show (or deselect to hide) personalized recommendations, then click Save Changes.
Allow Friends to Find You			Click Enable or Disable.
Subscriptions			See the Apple Support article If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple.
Pre-orders			See the Apple Support article View or cancel pre-orders for apps, movies, music, or books.
Reset all warnings for buying and downloading			Click the Reset button at the bottom of the Account Information page.
