Removal

  1. Gently insert the black stick between the display clip and the mandrel, and release the adhesive with the black stick. Then peel the damaged mandrel from the display clip.

Reassembly

  1. Remove the protective liner from the replacement mandrel.

  2. Insert the mandrel into the channel on the top case from the hinge side with the adhesive side facing up.

    • Important: Press the mandrel into the channel until it is positioned firmly against the vent on the enclosure.

  3. Position the display clip over the mandrel. Then align the screw holes on the clip with both screw bosses on the top case.

    • Important: Ensure that the bend in the flex cable is behind the mandrel and in the vent/antenna channel.

  4. Press the display clip onto the replacement mandrel and clip it in place.

    • Important: Once clipped in place, press down along the length of the clip to ensure the entire mandrel is adhered to the clip.
