Get the latest version of Photos on Mac
Photos is included with the latest version of macOS. Use Software Update settings to get the latest version of macOS and apps included with it. If you don’t see an update for macOS, you have the latest software.
Open Software Update settings for me
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, click General in the sidebar, then click Software Update. (You may need to scroll down.)
If a macOS or Photos update is available, click Update Now.
