How to use Hide My Email with iCloud+ on your iPhone or iPad
Hide My Email is a service that's included with an iCloud+ subscription. With Hide My Email, you can generate unique, random email addresses that automatically forward to your personal inbox, so you can keep your personal email address private.
How Hide My Email works
When you create a new account with an app or website, sign up for a newsletter online, or need to send an email to someone you don't know well, you can use Hide My Email to create a unique, random email address. You can create multiple Hide My Email addresses to use with different apps and websites. After you choose an address, it's unique to you. You can read and respond directly to emails sent to this email address and your personal email address is kept private.
Mail sent to any of your Hide My Email addresses is forwarded to your personal email account, like your iCloud Mail address or any email address associated with your Apple Account. Apple doesn't read or process any of the content in the email messages that pass through Hide My Email, except to perform standard spam filtering that's required to maintain our status as a trusted email provider. All email messages are deleted from our relay servers after they're delivered to you, usually within seconds.
You can change the email address that receives forwarded messages at any time. Or you can choose to turn off email forwarding to stop receiving messages. You can manage your addresses created with Hide My Email in Settings on your iPhone, iPad, or on iCloud.com.
If Hide My Email is used to sign in to an app or a website using Sign in with Apple, an address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com will be created. If you're using Hide My Email on a website or an app that doesn't support Sign in with Apple, an address ending in @icloud.com will be created.
