Where are Apple Loops installed for Logic Pro for Mac and MainStage?

You can find factory and custom Apple Loops files in the Library folders on your Mac.

When you choose to install Apple Loops included with Logic Pro and MainStage, the files are installed in /Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple. The individual patches (CAF files) in each collection are located in these subfolders:

  • 01 Hip Hop

  • 02 Electro House

  • 03 Dubstep

  • 04 Modern RnB

  • 05 Tech House

  • 06 Deep House

  • 07 Chillwave

  • Apple Loops for GarageBand

  • iLife Sound Effects

  • Jam Pack 1

  • Jam Pack Remix Tools

  • Jam Pack Rhythm Section

  • Jam Pack Symphony Orchestra

  • Jam Pack Voices

  • Jam Pack World Music

Custom Apple Loops you've created are located in the Library of your Home folder, which you can access from the Finder:

  1. Choose Go > Go to Folder from the menu bar.

  2. Enter ~/Library/Audio/Apple Loops in the “Go to the folder” field.

  3. Click Go.
