Pixelmator Pro compared to Photomator
To create designs from scratch by combining images, shapes, or text, use Pixelmator Pro. For fast photo-editing workflows with the ability for batch editing, use Photomator.
Pixelmator Pro and Photomator have been designed to work together. Both apps have been designed for edit-syncing through iCloud, which makes it easy to round-trip workflows between apps.* For example, edit a photo in Photomator on Mac, save it to iCloud, then open the file in Pixelmator Pro to add text, shapes, captions, and more.
Layered PXD files (the non-destructive Pixelmator Pro file format) open flattened in Photomator.
