Search on Apple TV
Apple TV includes a Search app that can help you locate movies, TV shows, cast and crew information, apps in the App Store , and even music if you’re an Apple Music subscriber.
Search using the onscreen keyboard
Open the Search app on the Home Screen of Apple TV.
Type your query using the onscreen keyboard.
The Search app returns content associated with your search terms.
Tip: You can use the keyboard on a nearby iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to enter text directly on Apple TV instead of using the Siri Remote. For more information, see Use the iOS or iPadOS keyboard to enter text on Apple TV.
For a list of apps included in searches, see the Apple Support article About Search on your Apple TV.
Note: Apps included in search results may vary based on region.
Dictate instead of typing
You can also enter search terms in the Search app using voice dictation.
Press and hold the Siri button on the Siri Remote, then speak.
Select a search result
Select an item in the list of results to see additional details.
Information about the item appears, including all of the apps where the content is available.
