Use My Photo Stream to share recent photos in Photos on Mac
If you use iCloud, you can use My Photo Stream to import your most recent photos from devices that don’t have iCloud Photos turned on. My Photo Stream keeps your last 30 days of photos in iCloud so you can import them to your Mac.
Note: My Photo Stream imports Live Photos as still images only.
Turn My Photo Stream on or off
In the Photos app on your Mac, choose Photos > Preferences, then click iCloud.
To turn My Photo Stream on or off, select or deselect the My Photo Stream checkbox.
Important: If you have My Photo Stream turned on and you’re not using iCloud Photos, photos from My Photo Stream appear in the My Photo Stream album under Albums in the sidebar. If you’re using iCloud Photos, you don’t see a My Photo Stream album—all your photos are added to the All Photos album.
Delete a photo from My Photo Stream
In the Photos app on your Mac, click My Photo Stream in the sidebar.
Do one of the following:
Select the photo you want to delete, then press the Delete key.
Control-click the photo you want to delete, then choose Delete from My Photo Stream.
Important: Deleting a photo from My Photo Stream deletes it from any other Mac or device that uses My Photo Stream. For more information about using My Photo Stream and how to save your photos if you decide turn My Photo Stream off, see the Apple Support article My Photo Stream.
