An App Clip is a free, mini version of an app. You can get App Clips on websites, in stores, in Maps or Messages, and more.

How to delete App Clips

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap App Clips.
  3. Tap Delete.

If you can't download an App Clip

If you expect to see an App Clip but it doesn't appear, try this.

  • You might already have the full app. Look for the app on your Home screen or search for it in your App Library.
  • You might have disabled App Clips. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Content Restrictions, then select Allow for App Clips.
  • You might not be signed in to the App Store. Open the App Store, tap the sign-in button , and sign in with your Apple ID and password.
  • If you turned on Private Browsing in Safari, App Clips don't appear in Safari.

If you still need help, see Learn how to get and use App Clips.
