If you service or replace a device enrolled in Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager

If your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV is repaired or replaced

If you send an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV to Apple for repair, unassign it from your MDM server before sending it to Apple. If you don't, it might be returned to you without being repaired. You can reassign the device to your MDM server after it's repaired.

If Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider replaces an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV enrolled in Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager, the replacement will usually appear in Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager within four hours. It will automatically be assigned to the same Mobile Device Management (MDM) server as your original device.

If your Mac is repaired

If your Mac is enrolled in Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager, it stays enrolled when you get it repaired.
