Add and download music from Apple Music

If you subscribe to Apple Music, you can add music from the Apple Music catalog to your music library. Stream music that you've added over an internet connection. Or download music that you've added to listen to offline.

Add music from Apple Music to your library

Follow the steps below for your device.

How to add music from Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Vision Pro, or Android

1. Open the Apple Music app.

2. Find music that you want to add to your library.

   • At the top of an album or playlist, tap the Add button.

   • Next to a song, tap the More button, then tap the Add button.

How to add music from Apple Music on your Mac or PC

1. Open the Apple Music app.

2. Find music that you want to add to your library.

   • To add a song, hover the pointer over the song and click the Add button.

   • To add an album or playlist, click the Add button at the top of the album or playlist.

Download music from Apple Music

After you add music to your library, you can download it to your device to listen offline. If you're on an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro you can also view the lyrics for the songs you download in Now Playing.* Just follow the steps below for your device.

How to download music from Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Vision Pro, or Android

1. Open the Apple Music app.

2. Add a song, album, or playlist to your library.

3. After you add a song, album, or playlist:

   • Tap the Download button at the top of an album or playlist.

   • Tap the More button next to a song, then tap Download.
