End your Classroom class
If you’re using Managed Apple IDs, you can sign out students so each device is ready for the next class.
If the students each have their own device, they simply save the data to their device or, for the apps that support it, to the cloud.
Log out students from their Shared iPad devices
When you want to end a session, you can log out all students. When students are logged out of their iPad devices, any documents they were working on are pushed to the cloud and are available the next time they sign in.
Note: Shared iPad and Managed Apple IDs are required for this action.
Open the Classroom app
on your iPad, then do one of the following:Tap All.
Tap a specific group.
Tap Select in the upper right corner of the screen, select one or more students, tap Done, then tap Done again.
In the row of actions, tap Log Out
to log out the students from their iPad devices.An app icon appears on the Log Out screen of an iPad if the app on the iPad hasn’t finished pushing its documents to the cloud. When finished, its app icon disappears.
Log out a student from iPad
You can log out a single student. When the student is logged out of their iPad, any documents they were working on are pushed to the cloud and are available the next time they sign in.

on your iPad, then tap the student.In the row of actions, tap Log Out
, then tap Done.An app icon appears on the Log Out screen of the iPad if the app hasn’t finished pushing its documents to the cloud. When the app has finished this task, the app icon disappears.
