OS X Server: Shared folders on external storage no longer available after logging out locally from the server
If no administrator is logged into the server running OS X Server (Mountain Lion), shared folders on external storage will not be available to users over any sharing protocol such as AFP or SMB.
If clients have a share mounted that is on an external drive when the administrator logs out, the connection to the share will be lost.
Update to OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 and OS X Server v2.1, or later.
