Patch
A patch combines different elements in Logic Pro to create and control the sound of a track’s channel strip. The patches displayed in the Library and the elements that form a particular patch vary depending on the track type you have selected: Software instrument patches include an instrument plug-in, whereas both audio and software instrument patches can include effects, effect settings, routing settings, and Smart Controls.
You can customize patches by editing Smart Control settings, adding or removing plug-ins, editing plug-in parameters or channel strip routings. You can also save your custom patches in the Library to use with other instruments or in other projects.
To choose a patch, click the Library button
in the upper left of the control bar, choose a patch category from the list on the left, then choose a patch from the list on the right.
