Choose suggestion categories for Spotlight on Mac
Spotlight helps you find items on your computer and also performs calculations and conversions. If you want to change the types of suggestions you get when using Spotlight, you can turn on (or off) those categories.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Spotlight in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
Go to “Search results,” then do any of the following:
Include a category in Spotlight search results: Select it in the list.
Exclude a category in Spotlight search results: Deselect it.
By default, Spotlight results include Siri Suggestions.
Note: If you don’t want your Look Up search queries and Siri Suggestions data sent to Apple, deselect the Siri Suggestions checkbox in the list. When the checkbox is unselected, Spotlight searches only the contents of your Mac, and Look Up searches only the dictionaries enabled on your Mac. See Turn off Siri Suggestions.
