Problems with posts in iTunes U for web
If you have trouble creating and editing posts in courses in iTunes U for web, try the following:
Make sure you enter text for all required fields (for example, message title and assignment text).
Make sure the material you attach to an assignment is a valid iTunes U media type. See iTunes U for web supported media types.
To link to a specific chapter in a material, make sure the material you are attempting to attach to an assignment is an uploaded or referenced EPUB file or Apple Books file with a table of contents (manifest).
To send an announcement to your students, make sure you are using the announcement feature in posts for an in-session course.
Keep the following in mind when duplicating or copying from/to an in-session course: iTunes U removes dates and copies the posts or announcements to the Posts | Drafts pane for you to review, edit, and select new dates before posting to your students. Posts in the Posts | Drafts pane are not visible to your students until you post them in the new course. To preserve the original posts and associated dates for the new in-session course, the new instructor can deselect Remove Dates for Assignments and Posts.
Note: By default, when you start or reply to a course or post discussion you are then following the discussion thread. If you no longer want to follow the discussion thread, tap Unfollow in iTunes U on iOS.
