iPhone 17 Pro Max Enclosure
Before You Begin
Warning
Read Battery Safety and follow workspace and battery handling guidelines before you begin.
Tools
Refer to a full list of tools required for all repairs.
Important
Order the correct color enclosure for the iPhone model you're repairing.
Removal
Remove the following parts and set them aside for reassembly:
Important: Removal of the camera, front camera, and top speaker are included in the logic board removal steps.
For models with a physical SIM, remove the SIM tray.
Reassembly
A replacement enclosure includes the following preinstalled parts:
Bottom speaker (1)
Main microphone (2)
Taptic Engine (3)
SIM assembly (only for models with a physical SIM) (4)
USB-C connector (5)
Screw diagrams
Models with mmWave antenna
Models without mmWave antenna
Peel the protective liner from the enclosure.

Peel the protective liners from the USB-C connector flex cables and volume buttons flex cables.

Peel the mmWave flex cable adhesive liner from the enclosure. Then reinstall the logic board. Press the mmWave flex cable to adhere it to the enclosure.

Peel the protective liners from the camera lenses. Then reinstall the camera.

Reinstall the remaining parts in the replacement enclosure in the order listed to complete reassembly:
For models with a physical SIM, reinstall the SIM tray.
