Change the Phone app layout

You can choose to use the Unified layout that combines your Favorites, Recents, and Voicemails in a single tab, or choose the Classic layout to sort them into separate tabs.

  1. Go to the Phone app on your iPhone.

  2. Tap Calls (in Unified layout) or Recents (in Classic layout) at the bottom of your screen.

  3. Tap the Filter button, then choose one of the following:

    • Unified: Your favorite contacts, recent calls, and voicemails are combined and displayed in the Calls tab at the bottom of the screen.

    • Classic: Your favorite contacts, recent calls, and voicemails are sorted into separate tabs at the bottom of the screen.
