Blend mode
In compositing, the method used to combine one image layer with another. In Final Cut Pro for iPad, a connected clip can be visually combined with the clip or clips below it in the timeline, depending on the blend mode you choose. The default blend mode in Final Cut Pro is Normal, which prevents stacked clips in the timeline from blending. You can change the blend mode to other options, such as Subtract, Darken, Add, Overlay, and so on, to combine the pixels of stacked clips in interesting ways, creating overlapping images with transparency in the viewer.
