How to resend a shared album invite

Learn what to do if you need to resend a shared album invite or if you need other help with a shared album invite in the Photos app.

Resend a shared album invite

You can resend a shared album invitation from the shared album's Settings menu.

On your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro with version 27 of iOS, iPadOS, or visionOS

1. Open Photos, then tap Collections.

2. Scroll down to Shared Albums.

3. Tap a shared album that you created.

4. Tap the Share button.

5. Choose a contact or app to use to share the link to the shared album. You can also tap Copy Album Link to copy the link so that you can send or post it.

   

6. Tap the Done button.

On your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro with version 26 of iOS, iPadOS, or visionOS

1. Open Photos, then tap Collections.

   

2. Scroll down to Shared Albums.

3. Tap a shared album that you created, then tap the More button.

4. Tap the album name.

   

5. Select the person's name in the list of subscribers.

6. Tap Resend Invitation.

If you previously removed this person from the list of subscribers:

1. Open Photos, then tap Collections.

2. Scroll down to Shared Albums.

3. Tap a shared album that you created, then tap the More button.

4. Tap the album name.

5. Tap Add Participants.

6. Type their name, select their name from your Contacts suggestions, then tap the Done button.

On your Mac with macOS 27 or later

1. Open the Photos app.

2. In the Sharing section of the sidebar, under Shared Albums, select a shared album that you created.

3. Click the Share button.

   

4. Choose an app to use to share the link to the shared album. You can also click Copy Album Link to copy the link so that you can send or post it.

If you previously removed this person from the list of participants:

1. Open the Photos app.

2. In the Sharing section of the sidebar, under Shared Albums, select a shared album that you created.

3. Click the Manage Shared Album button.

4. Click Invite Participants. Choose an app to use to share the link to the shared album. You can also click Copy Album Link to copy the link so that you can send or post it.

On your Mac with macOS 26 or earlier

1. Open the Photos app.

2. In the Sharing section of the sidebar, under Shared Albums, select a shared album that you created.

3. Click the People button in the toolbar.

4. In the list of subscribers, click the arrow next to the person's name.

5. Choose Resend Invitation.

If you previously removed this person from the list of subscribers:

1. Click the Add button to open the Contacts panel.

2. Choose people to invite from your contacts.

On your PC using iCloud for Windows

1. Open iCloud Shared Albums, and double-click the shared album that you created to open it.

2. Click Options in the toolbar.

3. Click the name of the person who wants to subscribe.

4. Click "Resend invitation", then click Done.

If you need help with a shared album invite

• Shared album invitations show up in Notification Center. If you can't find your invitation there, you can check the Photos app. Learn what to do if you can't find a shared album invitation.

• If you chose not to receive shared album invitations and now want to subscribe to a shared album: Open an invitation sent to your email address, then click Don’t Send Me Shared Album Emails at the bottom of the message. A browser window opens and shows that you're no longer receiving Shared Album invitations. Click "Undo this change." If you no longer have an invitation, contact Apple Support and ask to receive Shared Album invitations.

• If you receive a shared album invitation from someone you don't recognize, click Report Junk in the email invitation. Open the invitation in the Photos app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, then select Report Junk and choose Delete and Report Junk.

• If you see a message that the shared album is no longer shared, contact the owner of the shared album to ask whether it was deleted, or if they can re-send the invitation.
