How to file a claim

  1. Start your claim online with Apple.

  2. You'll be asked to finalize your claim on the insurer's website.

If you're unable to sign in or start a claim online, contact Apple Support. Make sure that you have your Apple Account details and the serial number of your lost or stolen iPhone.

You can sign in to icloud.com/find and turn on Lost Mode for your missing iPhone. But don't remove it from Find My or your Apple Account until your claim has been approved.

If you cancel your claim

If you cancel your claim because you found your iPhone, you must set up your iPhone like a new device. You'll be asked to create a new passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID. To get the data previously stored on your iPhone, restore your iPhone from a backup.

You can't cancel the claim if a replacement device has shipped. If you find your lost or stolen iPhone after your claim has been approved, you won't be able to use that iPhone again.
