Customize audio output in DVD Player on Mac
If a DVD includes multiple soundtracks, such as a commentary track or dialogue in a different language, you can choose which soundtrack to use in DVD Player.
For some DVDs, you may have to use the movie’s interactive menus to make these changes.
Choose a soundtrack
In the DVD Player app on your Mac, start playing a movie. Choose Features > Audio, then select the audio track. You can also tap the Subtitles button in the Touch Bar to see a list of available Audio options.
Select an audio output device
You can use different types of audio equipment to hear the audio from a DVD movie. By default, the DVD Player app plays audio on your computer’s internal speakers or headphones, when connected.
To select an audio output device on your Mac, do the following:
Connect your audio device to your computer.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Sound , then click Output.
Select a device for sound output.
