iMac (24-inch, 2023) Camera and Embedded DisplayPort Flex Cable

Before You Begin

Remove the following parts before you begin:

• Display

• Logic board cover (EMI shield)

Tools

• Support wedge kit (076-00507)

Refer to a full list of tools required for all repairs.

Removal

1. Position the housing with the logic board facing up.

2. Pull the tab to flip up the locking bar on the camera and embedded DisplayPort (eDP) flex cable (1). Then slide the end of the camera and eDP flex cable straight out of the connector to remove it from the housing (2).

   

Reassembly

1. Slide the end of the camera and eDP flex cable into the connector (1). Then flip down the locking bar (2).

   

Reinstall the following parts to complete reassembly:

• Logic board cover (EMI shield)

• Display
