Change Advanced preferences in iTunes on PC
In the iTunes app on your PC, use the Advanced pane in iTunes preferences to set and organize your iTunes Media folder, choose how to show MiniPlayer and movie windows, and more.
To change these preferences, choose Edit > Preferences, then click Advanced.

Reset all dialog warnings | Reset or allow dialog warnings (small windows with messages in them) to appear. This option is only applicable if you selected “Do not show this message again” in one or more dialogs. | ||||||||||
Reset iTunes Store cache | Reset the iTunes Store cache (the temporary location where your computer saves iTunes Store pages you visit). If you return to that page later, iTunes can retrieve the page from the cache faster than getting it from the internet. This option is only applicable when the content on a page seems outdated or if the page isn’t opening properly. | ||||||||||
Reset podcast identifier | Reset the podcast identifier to retrieve the latest version. This option is only applicable when the content in Podcasts seems outdated. | ||||||||||
Warn me if iTunes is not the default player for audio files | Display a warning if an application other than iTunes is the default audio player. | ||||||||||
Keep MiniPlayer on top of all other windows | Keep MiniPlayer in front of all open windows, even while you use applications other than iTunes. | ||||||||||
Keep movie window on top of all other windows | Keep the movie window (when playing a movie) in front of all open windows, even while you use applications other than iTunes. | ||||||||||
Show iTunes icon in system tray | Display the iTunes icon in the notifications area of the Windows taskbar. | ||||||||||
Minimize iTunes window to system tray | Minimize the iTunes window to the notifications area. This option is only available when you show the iTunes icon in the system tray. | ||||||||||
Enable full keyboard navigation | Control iTunes using your keyboard, even if iTunes isn’t the active window. | ||||||||||
Check for new software updates automatically | Display a message when a new version of iTunes is available. This option isn’t available if you installed iTunes from the Microsoft Store. See Update iTunes. | ||||||||||
