Change Advanced preferences in Calendar on Mac
Use Advanced preferences in Calendar to set advanced time zone, event, alert, and invitation options.
To change these preferences in the Calendar app on your Mac, choose Calendar > Preferences, then click Advanced.

Turn on time zone support | Adds a pop-up menu to the toolbar. You use the menu to change the time zone in which all events are shown. For example, an event set for 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time is shown at 7:00 p.m. GMT. Also lets you set the time zone for each event. For example, if you set an event at 7:00 p.m. GMT, and then choose Pacific Time from the pop-up menu in the toolbar, that event is shown at 12:00 p.m. | ||||||||||
Show events in year view | See when you’re busier in Year view. Days with more events appear in darker colors. | ||||||||||
Show week numbers | See week numbers in Week, Month, or Year view. | ||||||||||
Open events in separate windows | Have events open in separate windows. | ||||||||||
Ask before sending changes to events | When this is selected, a message appears whenever you change the start time, end time, or other details for an event with invitees. | ||||||||||
Remove all recent locations and attendees | The locations and attendees you enter in calendar events are saved for later use as suggestions when you create new events. To remove the attendees and locations you’ve previously entered, click “Remove all recent locations and attendees,” then click Delete. |
