Use Magnifier on your iPhone or iPad

With Magnifier, you can turn your iPhone or iPad into a magnifying glass to zoom in on and detect objects near you.

Find and open the Magnifier app

On your iPhone or iPad, open the Magnifier app. If you don't see the Magnifier app, on the Home Screen, swipe down and search for Magnifier.

Magnifier should not be relied upon in circumstances where you may be harmed or injured, in high-risk or emergency situations, or for navigation.

Enhance your view

Magnifier can make an object easier to see by zooming in, applying color filters, adding light with the flashlight, and adjusting the brightness or contrast of the image.

Adjust the brightness or contrast

Tap the Brightness button  or Contrast button  and drag the slider.

Apply color filters

Tap the Filters button  and swipe across the different color filters to view their effects.

Freeze the frame

  1. Tap the Freeze Frame button .
  2. Use the controls to zoom and adjust the image.
  3. When you finish making adjustments:
    • To save the image to your Photos library, tap the Share button  and tap Save Image.
    • To freeze another frame, tap the Multi-Photo Mode button .
    • To return to the live lens, tap the End button .
