Use Windowed Apps to work with multiple apps at the same time, organize your windows how you want, and more.

Turn Windowed Apps on or off

  1. Swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen to open Control Center.

  2. Tap the Windowed Apps button, or tap and hold the Windowed Apps button to switch between Windowed Apps or Stage Manager.

You can also turn Windowed Apps on or off from the Settings app:

  1. Open the Settings app.

  2. Tap Multitasking & Gestures.

  3. To turn Windowed Apps on, select Windowed Apps. To turn it off, select Full Screen Apps, or select Stage Manager to multitask another way.
