To change these preferences in the System Image Utility app on your Mac, choose System Image Utility > Preferences, then click Restore.
Block copy the source volume | Performs a block-level copy of the source volume.
Don’t reorder for multicast streaming | When doing an image scan, you can choose not to reorder the blocks. Doing so may slow multicast streaming restores.
Retain the original volume name | Keeps the original volume name unless overridden in the NetRestore image from a macOS install app workflow.
Countdown timer before automated restore | Displays an alert that remains visible for 30 seconds, allowing a user to cancel an automated restore. For example, if the user mistakenly booted a Mac for automated restore, this option gives them 30 seconds to cancel before the process begins. |
