Change Encodings preferences in Terminal on Mac
Use Encodings preferences in Terminal to set the character encodings you want available in Terminal.
To change these preferences in the Terminal app on your Mac, choose Terminal > Preferences, then click Encodings.
Select the international character encodings you want to be available in Terminal. After you select the encodings here, they are available in the “Text encoding” pop-up menu in the Advanced pane of Profiles preferences.
To select all of the international character encodings, click the Enable All button.
To deselect all of the international character encodings, click the Disable All button.
Revert to Defaults
To return to the default international character encodings settings, click Revert to Defaults.
