Before you can add funds to your Apple ID, you have to have a valid payment method on file. Learn about the payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID.
Adding funds to your Apple ID isn't available in all countries or regions. Find out if adding funds is available in your country or region, and what payment methods are available to add funds with.
On an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.
- Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. You might be asked to sign in with your Apple ID. Learn how to create an Apple ID if you don't have one.
- Tap "Add Funds to Apple ID."1
- Tap the amount that you want to add, or tap Other to enter a specific amount.
- Tap Next, then confirm your selection. Some payment methods might prompt you to verify your purchase with a text message or other method.
After you authorize the payment, the funds credit to your Apple ID. You can use the credit to make iTunes & App Store purchases or buy more iCloud storage.
On a Mac or PC
- Open iTunes. If you're not signed in, sign in with your Apple ID. Learn how to create an Apple ID if you don't have one.
- From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or at the top of the iTunes window, choose Account > View My Account.
- Sign in with your Apple ID, then click View Account.
- On the Account Information page, scroll to the Apple ID Account section, then click "Add Funds to Apple ID."1
- Click the amount that you want to add, or click Other to enter a specific amount.
- Click Next, then confirm your selection. Some payment methods might prompt you to verify your purchase with a text message or other method.
