Check if movies and TV shows have accessibility features in the Apple TV app

Movies and TV shows with accessibility features are labeled with AD for audio descriptions, CC for closed captions, and SDH for subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

On your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

  1. Open the Apple TV app.
  2. Tap Search and enter the name of a movie or TV show.
  3. Tap the movie or TV show to go to its description page.
  4. Check for closed captions (CC), subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing (SDH), or audio descriptions (AD).

On your Mac

  1. Open the Apple TV app.
  2. Use the search bar in the upper-right corner to find a specific movie or TV show.

  1. Open iTunes for Windows.
  2. Click Store.

  4. On the right side of the window, click Movies or TV shows.

  6. Under the price, check for closed captions (CC), subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing (SDH), or audio descriptions (AD).

  1. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility.
  2. Turn on Audio Descriptions.
  3. Open the Apple TV app.
