iMac (24-inch, 2024) Logic Board Cover (EMI Shield)
Before You Begin
Remove the following part before you begin:
Tools
Adjustable torque driver (10–34 Ncm)
ESD-safe tweezers
Nylon probe (black stick)
Support wedge kit
Torx Plus 3IP 25 mm bit
Refer to a full list of tools required for all repairs.

Removal
Position the housing with the logic board facing up and the logic board cover closest to you.
Peel the tape off the middle of the logic board cover. Use the black stick and ESD-safe tweezers to peel the tape if needed. Save the tape for reassembly.
Use the 10–34 Ncm adjustable torque driver and 3IP bit to remove the 3IP screws (923-11032) from the logic board cover.
Note: The number and location of screws is specific to the model.

Tilt up the logic board cover (1). Then lift it away from you to remove it from the housing (2).
Caution: Don’t touch the logic board with the logic board cover.
Reassembly
Look for foam on the underside of the logic board cover where the speaker cables connect to the logic board.
If the logic board cover has foam, don’t adhere foam over the right speaker cable connectors on the logic board.
If the logic board cover doesn’t have foam, adhere foam over the right speaker cable connector on the logic board.
Slide the logic board cover into the housing (1). Then tilt it down over the logic board (2).
Set the torque value on the 10–34 Ncm adjustable torque driver to 10 Ncm. Use the adjustable torque driver and 3IP bit to reinstall the 3IP screws (923-11032) into the logic board cover.
Note: The number and location of screws is specific to the model.

Adhere the tape onto the middle of the logic board cover.
Important: If the tape was damaged during removal, discard it and use replacement tape. Replacement tape is included in the display starter kit and display refill kit. It’s not a separate orderable part.
Reinstall the following part to complete reassembly:
