View health scores in Fleetsmith
Checking your health score is an easy way to find fundamental, security, or hardware issues that require attention. When there is an issue that requires attention, Fleetsmith flags it.
Your fleet’s health score is calculated based on whether your devices are enrolled in Fleetsmith, their battery life and storage space, and how well they addresses various security issues. The fewer issues you have across your fleet, the higher your health score will be. Your fleet’s health score is broken down into three parts:
Fundamental issues: To gain fleetwide visibility, all devices should be enrolled with Fleetsmith.
Fundamental issues covers devices not enrolled with Fleetsmith and devices that have not checked in for 21 days.
Hardware: Fleetsmith judges a device’s hardware health based on the device’s battery life and storage space left.
Security: The health score is influenced by five areas of security:
Is the operating system version the latest?
What is the authentication method and what are the Lock Screen settings?
Are remote lock and remote wipe enabled?
Are Mac computers using encryption for storage?
Is the firewall enabled on Mac computers?
Fleetsmith doesn’t display a health score if:
Your fleet isn’t fully enrolled. (To be considered fully enrolled, you need at least 70% of your imported users to have assigned and approved devices.)
You have a significant number of devices (more than 30%) offline for over 3 weeks. (Devices that are not powered on and connected to the internet can’t check in to the Fleetsmith Admin Console.)
Note: A device can’t check in unless it’s powered on and connected to the internet.
