Using the App Store app

Use the App Store on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV (4th generation), or computer to find and download apps, see your previous purchases, or learn more about an app.

Through the App Store, you can download new apps for your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV (4th generation).

Apps that you currently have on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch might also be available for your Apple TV.

Browse and buy

Before you can buy apps, you need an Apple ID. Your Apple ID is the account that you use to access Apple services such as the App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and more. If you don't have an Apple ID, you can create one.

You can browse and buy apps in the App Store on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV (4th generation), or using the App Store in iTunes on your Mac or PC. If you want to buy apps for your Mac, buy them through the Mac App Store instead of iTunes.
