Stay connected with Apple Watch
Apple Watch makes it easier to communicate with friends, family, and coworkers, even when your iPhone isn’t with you.
Send a message, right from your wrist
When Apple Watch is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular, you can text a friend in a moment. Raise your wrist and say, “Tell Claire I’ll be there in five minutes.”
Make a call
With an Apple Watch with a cellular or Wi-Fi connection, you can quickly make a call. On an Apple Watch with cellular, just raise your wrist and say “Call Mom.” If you have a Wi-Fi connection, a simple “FaceTime Mom” will do the trick.
Announce your arrival
Meeting a friend for lunch? Apple Watch can let them know you’ve arrived. Open the Find People app and tap your friend. Scroll up, tap Notify, then choose to notify your friend when you arrive at their location.
Tap and talk
For a quick audio chat, try Walkie-Talkie . Tap a friend’s name, touch and hold Talk, and ask “Got time to chat?”
For more information, see Send messages, Use Walkie-Talkie, Use Apple Watch to get directions or contact a friend, and Make phone calls.
